To increase Honda’s fan base and develop two-way communication between the race team and its audience
We created dynamic, Flash realised interactive online magazine. graphically inspired by the typopgraphic work of 80s legend Neville Brody. I wanted to reach the casual F1 fan as well as the anoraks - so although the facts and figures were there, they were definitely at the ‘back of the mag’.
We also introduced a ‘TV station’, a twice-weekly updated area giving previews, news information and features from the world of Honda and a Fans Gallery allowing users to upload their own videos and images. It was published in 9 languages.
Honda Racing became the 3rd most viewed F1 site through 2007, despite the team having a Newcastle United season.
